Water Baptism and Holy Ghost Baptism

Everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior must undertake Water Baptism in accordance with Biblical guidance:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit” – Mathews 28:19
Before Water Baptism is done in Winners Chapel International Connecticut, believers must participate in the Baptism Class. Water Baptism is a Biblical ordinance instituted by God. It is the commandment of Jesus Christ for every believer after repentance. No wonder God’s Word says:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19
Water Baptism, as a spiritual exercise, is an act of obedience that follows an inward repentance. It is by immersion in water. At Baptism, we are buried with him (Christ):
“Buried with him in baptism wherein also ye are risen with him through faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead” – Colossians 2:12.
This truth is reiterated in Romans 6:4 which says:
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Those who have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are eligible for water baptism (Mark 16:16, Acts 8:34-38). Every child of God should be baptized by immersion in water for the following reasons:
  1. To fulfill all righteousness – Matthew 3:13-15
  2. To identify  with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ – Romans 6:3-5
  3. To walk in the newness of life – Romans 6:4
  4. To put on Christ and His nature – Galatians 3:27
The Holy Ghost baptism is the promise of the Father to the church (Luke 24:49; Acts 2:38-39, Acts 1:8). You need the deposit of the powers of the world to come for effective service and quality walk with God (Hebrews 6:5).
The Baptism class holds on the last Sunday of each month, immediately after the second service and is followed by Baptism by Immersion in water and Holy Ghost baptism, with the evidence of speaking with new tongues as seen in Mark 16:17.
